About The Gen Why Lawyer and the Podcast
Gen Y’er: an individual born roughly between the early 1980’s and the late 1990’s. Also known as a Millennial. Defining characteristics: community-oriented, collaborative, entrepreneurial, diverse, and experiences-chaser.
Lawyer: an individual who practices law. Defining characteristics: critical thinker, effective communicator, persistent, and master interpreter of archaic statutes.
Where the two intersect: Gen Why Lawyers are a special breed. We’re a community of young, millennial attorneys who are building our careers as lawyers and/or entrepreneurs on our own terms. We seek fulfillment, happiness, and success in an ever-changing industry. We have a unique approach to the practice of law and we’re not afraid to showcase it. We’re redefining what it means to be a young lawyer in today’s world.
The Gen Why Lawyer Podcast is dedicated to us! Each week, I chat with young attorneys who are shaking up the legal industry and who are practicing law on their own terms. They share their stories of successes, failures, and everything in between. My guests offer insight, tools, tips, and actionable advice on how to improve your practice and/or business and thrive as a young lawyer and entrepreneur. I also feature some non-Millennial attorneys who share their advice on how to build thriving careers from an experienced attorney’s perspective.
